Welcome to taskB ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application and website at https://taskb.app (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the Service:
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth). You may optionally provide a display name and profile photo.
User-Generated Content
We store the tasks, events, bills, to-do lists, and notes you create within the app. This data is associated with your account and synced to our cloud infrastructure.
Payment Information
If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe or Google Play Billing. We do not store your full card number or payment credentials. We receive a subscription status and transaction identifier from the payment processor.
Device & Usage Data
We may collect device identifiers (e.g., FCM token for push notifications), browser type, operating system, IP address, and usage patterns to improve the Service and deliver notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the taskB Service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Sync your tasks, events, bills, and to-do lists across your devices
- Send push notifications for upcoming tasks, events, and bill due dates (only if you grant permission)
- Process payments and manage your subscription status
- Respond to your support requests and communications
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, which is hosted on AWS. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. We implement row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure your data is accessible only to you.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
5. Push Notifications
taskB may send push notifications to remind you of upcoming tasks, events, and bill due dates. Push notifications are only sent if you explicitly grant permission on your device.
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications. Your FCM device token is stored securely in our database and used solely for delivering notifications to your device.
You can revoke notification permissions at any time through your device settings or within the app. Revoking permission will stop all push notifications from taskB.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access:Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction:Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion:Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability:Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection:Object to certain types of data processing.

8. Children's Privacy
taskB is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at taskbplanner@gmail.com.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Our service providers (including Supabase and Stripe) may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using taskB, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification.
Your continued use of taskB after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
